.It's
dinner table talk with people who have a genuine interest in
understanding and respecting other points of view.
DOWN LOAD
An Evening for the Sages (below)
The Foundation for Pluralism is
dedicated to appreciation and inclusion of all religious
communities in its programs. We provide a platform for different
faiths to come together, and share their beliefs, systems and
rituals, in friendship to expand
the comfort zone of each group. It is hoped that
it would result in better understanding, demystifying the
'hearsay' and 'myths' arising from ignorance.
It is a facilitated dinner conversation with
equal opportunity, equal time and equal access to all.

| OUR
MISSION |
Our mission is to engender an open mind and an open heart
toward our fellow beings. When we accept and respect the God
given uniqueness of each one of the 7 billion inhabitants of our
small planet, conflicts fade and solutions emerge. We believe
that knowledge leads to understanding; understanding to
acceptance and appreciation of a different point of view. |
| FINDING
TRUTH |
Finding "the truth" our individual responsibility. It is a
journey we undertake through our best yet imperfect effort and
hope to arrive at a better spiritual place. The fact that we
always must act on the basis of imperfect understanding of
reality does not mean we must not act. Building a set of values
requires a leap of faith, even when that leap is wholly secular.
An overwhelming majority of people are pluralists, often without
knowing it. "Live and Let Live", is their life style and they
don't push their beliefs onto others. |
| |
|
The challenge is to meet* enough people in any given faith, race
or group, to get a diverse and reasonably reliable information.
The self constructed bars of the prison of prejudices would
gradually melt away. It would lead to a more happy and serene
life.
